COVID 19 UPDATE-14th April 2020
April 14, 2020
Dear Clients,
As the initial three week period of lockdown has been extended, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and British Veterinary Association have updated their advice to vets across the UK.
Firstly, we must stress that we are NOT returning to business as usual.
We are still open every day for phone consultations and advice and we will be seeing emergency cases as necessary.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about your animal.
In addition, from today Tuesday 14th April, we are allowed to start and or complete puppy vaccination courses. We will contact those clients who have previously been in touch directly over the next few days to organise appointments. We must stress that this will not be a usual consultation with the initial part of the consultation being done at a distance either over the phone or outside the clinic. The puppy will then be taken inside to have its vaccinations done before being returned to you.
At this time, we are not seeing adult cats or dogs for boosters if they have been regularly vaccinated. If you believe your animal may be at high risk then an exception maybe made at the discretion of Patrick or Harriet. Please phone or email us to discuss.
We are here for you and your animals but we have to be mindful of all our safety and keep our distance. We ask you to bring puppies either in a cat carrier if they are small enough or with a collar and lead so we can maintain some distance.
If you have an appointment, please stay in the car until a member of the team comes out to you. Please do not enter the building.
We will also be changing our opening hours: we will be on the phone between 08:30am and 5pm and the clinic will be manned between 9am and 2pm for emergency appointments and medication collections. We will still be offering delivery of medication to clients as before.
Thankyou for all your understanding during this time. We hope you are staying safe and well.
Best Wishes from us all at Clarendon Street Veterinary Surgery
