María graduated from the University of Córdoba in the south of Spain in 2004. Her very first job as a vet was in the UK, at a mixed animal practice in Inverness. After a year in Scotland, she moved to West Sussex and worked solely as a small animal surgeon.
In 2007 María and her husband Rob moved to Cambridge where she worked as a head vet for one of the local practices enjoying both internal medicine and surgery. After a few years off work bringing up her two children, Maria returned to practice in 2019.
María joined the Clarendon Street team in January 2022. She is really enjoying meeting all our clients and their pets and already feels very much a part of what she calls our lovely family practice.
In her spare time María loves sharing a good traditional pub meal with friends and family and spending time outdoors in nature. Animals have always been her passion so to be a vet and to be able to help animals when they become unwell is the most rewarding part of her job.
