November News

With the sudden change in the weather, it is beginning to look (just a little bit) like Christmas! Those of you who enjoyed last year’s Charity Pets Christmas Grotto will be happy to know that we are running the event again. The fun and mulled wine will flow from 2-4 pm on Saturday, December 6th at our new Stapleford Surgery, Church Street Vets. There will be a festive cake sale, a chance to buy our limited-edition Christmas cards and of course the opportunity for your dog to have their photo taken with our very own Father Christmas! All proceeds will go to our small species conservation charity, From the Brink

Now that we have more space across the two surgeries, we have been enjoying working with visiting specialists, to expand the services we offer without pets and owners having to travel too far. Full details will soon be on the website, but we are excited to share that Hanna Crook, of HC Veterinary Physiotherapy will be offering canine physiotherapy sessions at our Church Street practice every Monday from the 24th of November.

Whether your pet is recovering from injury or surgery, or simply feeling the effects of age, physiotherapy can be an excellent way to help them move more comfortably, manage pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Bookings can be made by calling or messaging either surgery, or if you would like to find out more about how physiotherapy can benefit your dog, Hanna will be more than happy to chat with you.

We are also teaming up with local dog trainer, Claire Martin, in 2026 to offer monthly workshops at our Church Street Surgery. The first sessions will run on Saturday 17th January. A Puppy Socialisation class, ideal for puppies whose owners want to get a head start on their socialisation before they are fully vaccinated (puppies must have had at least one vaccination to attend) will run from 12.30-1pm, followed by Cooperative Care, from 1-1.40pm. This session will be an introduction to creating positive experiences in a veterinary setting, including essential equipment like stethoscopes and nail dremels, and is suitable for any age and training level.

If you would like to know more about any of these events, to sign up, or have any other queries about any aspect of your pet’s health and care, please do give us a call at either surgery.

 With Best Wishes,

Patrick, Harriet, and all the CSV team.
