September News
We hope this finds you and your pets well. Summer at the surgery is always a busy time, and this year has been no exception. The repeated heatwaves and proliferation of grass seeds have kept us busy, on top of all the routine clinical work.
Last month we introduced new vet Rob Littlechild, who has settled into the surgery really well. Rob is currently studying for a certificate in surgery, so is a great addition to the team, allowing us to carry out more complex surgical procedures in house.
We are now welcoming another new vet to the team. Benedict started with us last month and is based mainly at our Church Street Surgery. He has recently graduated from the University of Liverpool and is returning to Cambridge having grown up in the area. He is enjoying being a part of the CSV team and looking forward to meeting as many of our lovely clients and pets as possible.
We seem to have had an epidemic of pregnancy at the surgery! Alaina is currently on maternity leave, and we were very excited to meet baby Freddie following his arrival last month. Vet, Rachel, has just started her maternity leave, and nurse, Maia, is not far behind!
As a result, you may spot a few new faces in the coming months. Recently qualified RVN Karla will soon be joining the nursing team, and we are welcoming Mia to the Clarendon Street reception team. If all the above is not news enough, Anna tied the knot with fiancé Tom at the start of September, and we all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with her.
In ‘other news’, you have until the end of month to check out the wildlife photography on display at our Church Street Surgery. When we first opened our new practice, we felt that our large, blank walls needed brightening up. We decided the plentiful wall space could be put to good use showcasing the work of local artists, and so every three months we invite a new artist to exhibit their work. Our current artist is Kevin Robson, a photographer with a love for wildlife and the natural world. His fantastic photographs are on display at the surgery until the end of the month, so pop in and have a look if you get the chance.
Patrick, Harriet and all the CVS team.
